Great Things Seen & Heard
- We passed the government’s health inspection with flying colours! Way to go team!
- A student thought he earned a sleep-in day by working hard for three consecutive days!
- The student that took the sleep-in day for his hard work also thought he earned the afternoon off!
- Student perspective: anyone who walks in the hallways to supervise is an EA!
- When zooming with a class, it could mean walking fast instead of a virtual meeting!
Bits & Pieces
- Poinsettia Sale (fundraising for Basketball) has now officially begun. Vo
- Report Card Marks are to be in by 8:00 AM on November 6th.
- Next bi-weekly staff meeting will be on November 9th.
- Report Cards go out to parents on November 10th.
- November 11th, 12th and 13th are days off for all staff and students.
- November 16th and 17th: Parent-Teacher Interviews via Google Hangout (phone calls).
- Next PD Day (November 27th) activities will include two 90-minute CRM webinars.
- Reminder: Entering attendance each class is extremely important for determining student truancy.
- Reminder: Please use Maplewood Notebook to record contact with parents, including those calls home regarding attendance and late arrivals.

Great Things Seen & Heard
- Some place have signs that say “Do not feed the bears” but at our school, we’ll have to have a sign that says “Do not feed the finance secretary” (watch for the traffic carrying plates to her office to know more).
- When we have visitors to the school, it’s a day to do your hair!
- We’re glad we don’t have to pay when we forget to disarm the alarm upon entry to the school!
- Our LST is ready for spring: all the OCA copies are already made!
- One of our more withdrawn students was overheard giving our day janitor compliments!
