Great Things Seen & Heard

  • Great news: Texthelp Read&Write for Google is back for all students! Yay!
  • Overheard: We received new funeral pictures this week!
  • Correction: Don’t nip it in the butt, but nip it in the bud. Come to think of it, don’t sniff it in the butt either!
  • Overhead at hockey: boys saying they deserve more brownies!
  • Overheard: Happy Friday! (except it’s only Tuesday…)
  • You know it’s been a long day when you answer your phone and someone tells you that you sound like a robot…

Bits & Pieces

  • Highlight the names of your class’s students on the Hallway Escort List (after copying it to your desktop) so that you know which students cannot leave the room alone.
  • To be confirmed and yet to be received in writing: we have heard that the upcoming mandatory vaccination will only be for employees and not adults entering our buildings in January.
  • Student Teacher joins P.E. class on November 1st.
  • Photo retakes on November 2nd.
  • Marks to office on November 3rd.
  • Grad Bottle drive to be confirmed for November 3rd.
  • Next Wing-it Wednesday for all staff is November 3rd after school.
  • PE Collaboration (HPSD) on November 4th after school.
  • Report cards emailed at end of day on November 9th.
  • Longer break from November 10th to November 14th: Five days off!
  • 3rd evening of PTI phone calls from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on November 16th.
  • School Council meeting on November 16th at 6:00 PM.
  • Grad parents online meeting on November 18th at 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM (TBC).

  • Monday, October 25th: Regular bi-weekly meeting with teachers and EA’s; we’ll start in our staff Google classroom for an explanation.
  • Monday, October 25th: Hot Lunch is Breakfast Burrito, Veggies & Dip.
  • Tuesday, October 26th: Grad Committee Meeting at 12:00 noon, in first hallway classroom (TBC).
  • Tuesday, October 26th: Hot Lunch is Greek Chicken Skewers and Salad.
  • Wednesday, October 27th: Principals’ meeting at HPE at 9:00 AM.
  • Wednesday, October 27th: Hot Lunch is Hamburger Soup and Bannock.
  • Wednesday, October 27th: Grad General Meeting at 12:00 in Room 133.
  • Thursday, October 28th: EV away all day.
  • Thursday, October 28th: CSTAG training all day for designated people (none from EWP).
  • Thursday, October 28th: Hot lunch is Chicken Pita and fruit.
  • Thursday, October 28th: Recruiter from U of C meeting registered students.
  • Friday, October 29th: EV away all day.
  • Friday, October 29th: Hot lunch Sloppy Joes, Veggies and Dip.
  • Friday, October 29th: Student assignments are due in by the end of the day.
  • Friday, October 29th: Volleyball team leaves for Fairview at 1:00 PM.
  • Saturday, October 30th: Football team plays in finals at Grande Prairie.
