Great Things Seen & Heard   

  • Accidentally told students to log into their Diploma Exam with their « loser » name (instead of username).
  • We have a new teacher who has accepted a verbal offer for Semester Two! (Her name will be announced once her contract is signed.)
  • SS 20 student shows up for SS Diploma Exam and is shocked when told his name isn’t on the list.

Bits & Pieces

  • For our regular CRT meeting this week, the agenda document has been shared—focus to be on assessment strategies, especially regarding last week of classes and maximizing evaluations.
  • Boys’ changing room closed for remainder of semester.
  • Assessment week from January 23rd to January 27th with exams from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
  • Submit report card comments as soon as available, between January 23rd and 27th.
  • SS Part B Diploma Exams and all other SS exams on January 23rd.
  • Biology 30 Diploma Exam and Biology 20 Final Exam on January 24th.
  • Chemistry Diploma Exam (external student) and all other Science exams on January 25th.
  • Physics in-class final exam in the afternoon on January 25th.
  • Diploma Exam marking begins on January 25th (Edmonton) (JN & CW away).
  • Physics Diploma Exam and all remaining ELA exams on January 26th.
  • Math exams on January 27th.
  • Marks and comments in Maplewood (and paper copy in office) by 3:00 PM on January 27th.
  • PD Day on January 30th (two IEC sessions to make up for one missed).
  • Report Card goes home on January 31st.
  • Semester Two begins on January 31st, assembly time TBD.
  • Admin PD February 1st, 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
  • Semester One marks on the report card plus the plan for Semester Two determine grad list placement (Grad on Saturday, June 10th).
