• June 29^th: Summing up the 2022-2023 year and setting up the 2023-2024 year:
  • Planning the Orientation Day at Hilliard’s Bay.
  • Phone calls and expectations for Orientation Day.
  • Organizing drivers and supervisors for Orientation Day.
  • Review of frontal PD Days (collaboration time, safety, ATA specialist councils).
  • Reviewing or choosing dates for big and necessary events for next year.
  • Committee sign-up.
• June 30^th: First day of summer vacation.
• July 3^rd – August 18^th: Waxing EWP floors.
• July 3^rd – August 25^th: Emergency generator replacement at EWP (Room 134).
• July 3^rd – August 25^th: Pipe insulation at EWP.
• July 3^rd – August 25^th: Mop sink replacement at EWP (Room 144).
• July 19^th: Carpet Cleaning at both EWP and PVO (contractor).
• August 28^th: All EA’s have NVCI training (1^st day of 2 days).
• August 28^th: Library Clerk’s first day, training with KB from Divisional Office.
• August 28^th: Secretaries and Career Coaches start up.
• August 28^th: Teachers all attend Land-Based Learning in Joussard, departing 8:40 AM.
• August 29^th: All EA’s have NVCI training (2^nd day of 2 days).
• August 29^th: Administrators and New Teacher Orientation at Division Office.
• August 30^th: PD Day—in morning, culture conversation for the coming year.
• August 30^th: PD Day—in afternoon, subject area collaboration as scheduled (to follow).
• August 31^st: PD Day—in morning, assessment practices and standards.
• August 31^st: New superintendent visits our school at 11:00 AM.
• August 31^st: PD Day—in afternoon, collaboration as scheduled (to follow).
• September 1^st: All staff attend morning Staff Meeting: Safety Review, Basic Procedures Review, Confidentiality Review.
• September 1^st: Noon Dismissal for long weekend.
• September 4^th: Labour Day.
• September 5^th: School Starts for Grade 10’s and New Students (Bay Day).
• September 6^th: First day of school for entire student body.
