Great Things Seen & Heard

  • PRS badminton players are well fed when they come to their practice at our school, with full permission to roam freely from one of the coaches!
  • Student leaves a nasty note on a windshield out in front of the school only to later learn from the driver that 50 years ago, angle parking was the norm and not considered to be sloppy parking!

Clips & Tips

This week’s tip actually bears the acronym TIP (Trauma Informed Practice). Statistically, it is believed that at least 25% of Alberta students have trauma in their past. Our province’s department of education offers many resources to educators for determining when trauma may be affecting student behaviour or performance and offers a myriad of possible solutions to problems:

Bits & Pieces

  • We will have HLAT training on our April 19th PD Day (virtually but all together in one room).
  • Next Regular Biweekly Meeting after today’s collaboration meeting will be our Staff Meeting on April 22nd.
  • ATA local’s AGM also to be held at EWP on April 22nd with a special meal arranged for participants.
  • School Council (parents) on April 24th in the evening.
  • Parent Fundraising Society has new leadership with big plans.
  • Gym booking on Sunday evenings continues for the local Basketball league.
