  • We welcome WE, who officially joined our staff to work in ESP as an EA! Welcome aboard!
  • When a student was told she could not bring her cellphone with her when she went to an isolation room for an exam, the student said that there was no point in going then and sat down in the class to write the exam!
  • The next exam, the same student tried to give the teacher a friend’s phone before heading off to the isolation room with her own phone!
  • Written by a student for an assignment: “the other 15% of people are going a full day without eating men women and children!” Commas save lives!”

  • A teacher yelled at a backpack on the bathroom floor, thinking it was a second student sitting in the cubicle!
  • We had great feedback on the HPSD survey regarding breakfast and lunch, with results way higher than ever! 100% say that our breakfast program is a good idea, and 99% said the same for our lunch program!
  • Our school secretaries keep staff on track, even reminding them which days they have medical appointments and correcting them when necessary.
  • Last classroom renovation has been completed for this school year!

  • Student tells everyone about a teacher’s trip to the liquor store, but it wasn’t true!
  • Kid switched from AC to EC and is confused about why they have the same last name!
  • “What now?” That’s the new way to answer the school phone, but surprise surprise, it’s not always the caller expected…
  • LST discovered that one of our listed ELL students has English as a first language, but no-one knew!
  • Teacher asking for a clicker to operate the monitor when the classroom has no overhead monitor but only a display board…
  • Best quote on PD Day: Sometime we feel like we’re trying to vacuum a house that’s on fire!

  • In a discussion about kids smoking pot, someone appropriately said that we have to “weed out the negative influences!”
