Great Things Seen & Heard

  • Thank you to such wonderful staff who organized different Christmas activities for us this past week!
  • Our basketball teams played well in our recent Tonesha Walker Memorial tournament—thank you to all of those who were involved!
  • Competition is fierce for food bank donations—the race to top place could be close!
  • Student comes to the office saying he’d like a key to the gym because his teacher said he could do whatever he wanted when he was finished his work. Sadly for him, he hadn’t finished and his teacher hadn’t said that…
  • Least likely student to be doing homework at a basketball game was recorded doing so just for proof.

  • Admin PD in morning of December 7th has been changed to face-to-face.
  • Report to the School Board in morning of December 8th is now virtual (no trustees in our school).
  • Prairie River will be using our school gym on December 10th (to be confirmed).
  • Christmas breakfast at EWP on December 14th.
  • Christmas lunch at PVO on December 14th.
  • Christmas vacation begins on December 17th.
  • After our Christmas break, we return to school on January 3rd.
  • ELA Part A Diploma Exams on January 12th.
  • SS Part A Diploma Exams on January 13th.
  • Math Diploma Exams on January 19th.
  • ELA Part B Diploma Exams on January 20th.
  • Exam week from January 23rd to January 27th.
  • Submit report card comments as soon as possible.
  • SS Part B Diploma Exams and all other SS exams on January 23rd.
  • Biology Diploma Exam on January 24th.
  • Chemistry Diploma Exam (external student) and all other Science exams on January 25th. 
  • Diploma Exam marking begins on January 25th (Edmonton) (JN away).
  • Physics Diploma Exam and all other ELA exams on January 26th.
  • Math exams on January 27th.
  • Marks and comments in Maplewood (and paper copy in office) by 3:00 PM on January 27th.
  • Report Card goes home on January 31st.
  • Semester One marks on the report card plus the plan for Semester Two determine grad list placement (Grad on Saturday, June 10th).
  • Semester Two begins on January 31st.
