Great Things Seen & Heard   

  • New way to describe oneself: formerly gifted, average adult!
  • A local principal who went to the scene of a group fight in an alley down from the school was stopped by attending police for having expired registration on the license plates!
  • Never give a megaphone to an English teacher at a local hockey game!
  • The most unlikely student corrected a teacher for taking the Lord’s name in vain!
  • A student came to the office and asked the finance secretary for his T4 slip!

Bits & Pieces

  • Agenda for the regularly scheduled CRM meeting on Monday, February 27th includes a brief overview of numeracy and literacy testing data, discussion to fine-tune the CRM needs for our upcoming PD day on March 10th, and a regular break-out discussion on new key issues for Semester Two.
  • March 7th: ATA Local 62 meeting at 6:00 PM.
  • March 8th: Elder coming to begin Hand Game training of students.
  • March 8th: Divisional Admin Meeting
  • March 10th: PD Day, our CRM training with a representative of Jigsaw Learning will be all morning.
  • March 10th: PD Day, our Admin team will meet with PRS teachers briefly after lunch to discuss streaming for core subjects.
  • March 10th: PD Day, our school’s common time IEC PD will be to watch the recording from the division-wide session from the morning.
  • March 11th: Saturday, ribbon-skirt making for those staff members who indicated interest.
  • March 13th: School Council Meeting at 6:30 PM.
  • March 15th: Parent Fundraising Society meeting at 6:30 PM.
  • March 17th: EV at King’s College to meet potential teachers.
  • March 22nd: PTI’s in evening, 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
  • March 27th: Work cut-off date for first term of Semester 2.
  • March 28th: Grad photo retake date.
  • April 4th: Hand Games tournament in Joussard.
  • April 6th: Division-wide Report Card Term 1 Semester 2.
  • April 17th: Social work practicum student starts with CB.
  • April 20th: PTI’s in evening, 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
  • April 27th: Sun Peaks band trip for Music students.
  • May 5th: probably our Indigenous Day
  • May 12th: PD Day for our schools.
  • May 17th: Divisional Track Meet
  • May 19th: Day in Lieu (four-day long weekend)
  • May 25th: BBQ Open House from 5:00 to 7:00 PM

  • Reminder that the gym is closed to non-PE students at all times except for lunch and for team sports.
  • Grad List is close to complete with 38 students on the list with 15 others striving to get everything in order to join the list. Semester One marks on the report card plus the plan for Semester Two determine grad list placement (Grad on Saturday, June 10th).
