Great Things Seen & Heard

  • Student loves the school lunch so much that he asks the Foods teacher to do the same recipe in his class so that he can learn how to make it!
  • Student hallway monitor sending notorious hallway wanderer back to his class, saying she doesn’t believe he even has a locker!
  • Student who started Science 14 late at PVO already finished the course!
  • Job aspirations? No need for a job; the student is planning to live in the forest and hug trees.
  • Students have been learning a few words in Chinese in Math 10-3. One was joking around with another teacher and tried to call her “Miss Buttface” but actually said “Prostitute Buttface.” Either way, he was pretty embarrassed to be caught!
  • Overheard in hallway: Student feels like a five-dollar hooker in that dress!

  • Parent sign-up Google Form going home same day as report cards.
  • Parent Teacher Interviews in person from 4:30 to 6:30 PM on November 16th and 17th (after staff potluck or pizza).
  • Two-day First Aid on November 25th (PD Day) and Saturday, November 26th.
  • Other staff will work on school goals and progress on November 25th PD Day.
  • Staff Greenhouse activity at 4:30 PM on November 30th.
  • Dueling Pianos staff event on December 3rd at rodeo grounds.
  • Semester One marks on the report card plus the plan for Semester Two determine grad list placement (Grad on Saturday, June 10th).

  • If someone asks how the coffee got on the ceiling in the science lab, we could always say it was a science experiment…
  • One of our quietest teachers was reported to have started a scene in a local restaurant before leaving in a huff…
  • After the Bio 30 pumpkin dilation exercise, one of the girls said, “That’s what I don’t like about being a girl!”
  • La Boom days are very popular, especially with the boys!
  • Our new basketball coach has his new shoes ready!
  • Student just trying to be a housewife, so she says we’re ruining it for her!
  • Wellness Coach enters a class as they are discussing STI’s so she piped up with, “Okay, guys, I’m here for the talk!”
  • Was a teacher visiting Mr. Rogers’ house? No, it was someone else.
  • Now we know how special NS is: a student brought her dried meat, and neither ate it on the bus on the way nor forgot it on the table at home!
  • A student claimed that he is secretly very smart…
  • A student learned four things the day he spent it in the office: not to vape at school, how to tell time without a cell phone, how much work he can get done in a day without distractions, and how many kids skip outside the office window!
  • New fundraising idea: selling feet on the feet finder?!
