- Secondary snow sculptures were a great demonstration of school pride and teamwork on the last Friday before March break. MN did a super job of organizing everything
Great Things Seen & Heard
- One little boy was heard telling his classmate, « My daddy knows a LOT! ». The little girl’s response, « My daddy knows EVERYTHING! »
- This was shared by a mom during the parent/teacher meeting. Her daughter was relieved that the 100th day in Kindergarten is gone and she’s still in Kindergarten. The little girl was a bit anxious and nervous, thinking that she’ll have to go to Grade 1 after the 100th day.
- A teacher asked a student to tell me about his painting and this is what he said as he described it: « Queen plus love equals King. »
Great Things Seen & Heard
- Another great basketball game at SHS; the team is starting to work together, much to the pleasure of the coaches!
- Although the Math Consultant found our school to be the most barren of any school she’s ever seen as far as math manipulatives are concerned, she also found some of our teachers the most eager to make improvements!
- Excellent time of food and fellowship at the Spaghetti Supper for the Grads!

- So many staff helped work out our problems due to shortage of replacements: thanks to all of you!
- NP is amazing!! She found the old banner for registration and arranged to have it mounted!!
- DG did an excellent job of organizing a photographer to come for a newspaper article.
- When shown a photo of biathlon and asked to identify what sport it was, a K boy answered that it was for walking on snowshoes and shooting a moose!

- A Grade 6 student will be receiving a prize from the Lions’ Club at the Assembly on Monday!
- When asked what was in the down coat to keep the teacher warm, Kindergarten students guessed: sugar / sand / blanket / oxygen / nothing / pillows / air / some little bags with rice in it / white fluff / something soft / feathers.
- It was neat on Monday morning to see a couple teachers sharing plates of food from the Staff Appreciation with students (who could likely use a good snack).
- On Tuesday morning, three 3 boys were building up the Unifix cubes into the 10-frame trains. The teacher gathered the class around and started showing them a limited piece of ‘land’ and asked what people would do when there’s no more land to build houses. One student quickly answered, « They go to Cuba. »

- No trips to the hospital for Secondary students that spent the day at the ski hill!
- Elementary students had a fun day sliding, but a teacher has been seen giving the finger to everyone since then!
- A little girl, talking about her weekend, told me that she went to a restaurant with her mommy, her daddy, her little sister and her little sister, who’s a boy.

- A Secondary student told me that no-one at our school smokes weed!
- Some Secondary students are willing to try something new at the ski hill!

- Another baby is coming to the SHS family: Congratulations, JJ!
- Our basketball team won the toughest team on Tuesday night. Great job, coaches!
