  • First steps of brick remodelling are here, starting with the fence and excavation (periodically check the file of construction information in Teams).
  • Parking across the street at Centre Gervais once again arranged for staff and parents; the stop sign should be installed by Monday but if not, we have our own now!

  • Our school board’s director of technology has sent IT training capsules for Internet Security to all school board personnel. We encourage you all to take the time to complete the interactive tasks included in the videos. Thank you for your participation!
  • The flooring contractor that was scheduled to come repair our epoxy floors was cancelled due to the pause in construction. It will be rescheduled for after April 13th or at least, that was the intention before the latest directive of no access whatsoever.

  • Only a few more days of being on hold without further information: The principals’ meeting was postponed to Monday, so we are still in limbo awaiting directions; staff members are still not permitted to go into the school for any reason (only subcontractors, as in last week’s message).
  • After the principals’ meeting on Monday, we will have a Teachers’ Meeting using Microsoft Teams. Teachers have received an email with further instructions.

  • Workers came early to upgrade our Wi-Fi system since the school was empty, so they will not be there over the weekend of March 27th to 29th after all.

  • All school rentals have now been cancelled by the School Board.
  • All fieldtrips and special events up to the end of the year have been suspended and will probably be cancelled. That would include our graduation events, which would be moved to September.
  • Upon return to school, we will be asking all staff to help by participating in wiping surfaces regularly (doorknobs and so on).

  • Work on the school by subcontractors continues in spite of curtailed activities, so crews are still expected to come in and repair epoxy floors next week and to upgrade our Wi-Fi over the weekend of March 27th to 29th
  • Replacement of 1st Snow Day goes to April 24th (Day 8 on the cycle)
  • Replacement of 2nd Snow Day goes to May 15th (Day 2 on the cycle)
  • Replacement of 3rd Snow Day goes to June 19th (Day 5 on the cycle)
