Great Things Seen & Heard
- School secretaries handled the telephone misconduct of frustrated parents with grace. Way to go, ladies! Keep your chins up; it only gets better from here!
- Student belongings sorted in bags in no time on third floor due to super cooperation!
- Second floor classrooms rearranged and even moved… thank you Secondary teachers for pitching in! Many hands (feet) make work light!
- School secretaries and our fearless rover handled all the parents coming with proper social distance, in style!
- Our fearless rover did all the legwork for me to get the students into groups, and even posted documents! I sure appreciate the help, NG!
- ST, NG and MJC have the school yard in control! We can’t wait to see it in action!
- ST and NG summarized our discussions online for us so we all have a chance to breathe!
- KK has a unique measuring rope for moving students around with social distance!
- Staff at home are improving systems and approaches for connecting services to students!
Clips & Tips
Université TELUQ has made teaching online courses available, free of charge, to anyone interested. Since they are only available in French at the moment, they are not mandatory. I have already heard positive feedback from staff about how helpful the webinars have been. Go have a look and see for yourself:
Bits & Pieces
- NEWSFLASH: no busing offered to parents for the rest of the school year
- First steps of brick remodelling are here, starting with the fence and excavation (periodically check the file of construction information in Teams).
- Parking across the street at Centre Gervais once again arranged for staff and parents; the stop sign should be installed by Monday but if not, we have our own now!
- Construction time bus zone on hill next to the school will be used for student drop-off.
- Student pick-up will be on foot for this week and we will adjust as time goes.
- Remaining medical exemptions of staff should be confirmed early next week.
- Many free webinars are available for free to help us handle increased student challenges.
- Communicating online is easy with Teams—check online tutorials to find out more.

- Monday, May 11th: Activity kits sent to students at 10h00 by exempted staff at home
- Tuesday, May 12th: Principals’ Meeting, so updates are possible in the afternoon
- Wednesday, May 13th: New directions for Secondary are expected to be formalized
- Thursday, May 14th: New kits posted by government for those working from home
- Friday, May 15th: Five Secondary Teacher meeting on Teams for core subjects
